 Slumdog Millionaire
is a 2008 British film directed by Danny

Boyle, written by Simon Beaufoy, and co-directed in India by Loveleen

Tandan. It is an adaptation of the novel Q & A (2005) by Indian author

and diplomat Vikas Swarup. It talks of the story of a guy Jamal ( Dev

Patel), who grew up on mumbai slums...and who becomes a contestant on

the quiz show "who wants to be a millionare". Just before the last

question.. police arrest him, thinking he cheated
...then while he is in jail..he

will explain to policemen, through flashback, how he knew all answers to

quiz questions. In this way we will know all his hard life.. the mother's

death, the difficult childhood in Mumbai's slum, his life with his brother, and

how he met and lost Latika ( Freida Pinto), the love of his life.

I loved this movie..its a romantic love story...Jamal met Latika when

they are both kids..and when he lose her..he will spend all his life looking

for her ..:)

Fighting against everybody and everything...just for his beloved

Latika...and last thing...i have to say Dev Patel is a very cute guy lol ;)

An interview with : Reza

There are a lot of films that I like. Its hard to say which my top 5 fave films are. So I will just list 5, in no order of preference that first come to mind.

1. Leon
This was a film I saw back when I was in year 9 of secondary school (I was 13 back then). The 3 main characters in this film, especially the two males (Jean Reno and Gary Oldman), are superb in it. Oldmans deliverance of his lines, Renos, portrayal of a good-natured immigrant assassin seemed perfect.

Portmans role as an early-teen (or pre-teen) chick manipulating Renos good nature as well as her thirst for revenge were what drives the film forward and to its climax.

Its quite hard to say why I like the films without giving away the plot.

2. Alien/Aliens
It is pretty hard to decide which of the two I like better. Though one is sequel to the other, both had different directors (Ridley Scott for the first and James Cameron for the second) and were different to each other. While the first was Sci-fi horror masterfully done, the second was Sci-fi action, something that James Cameron excels at. Part of me thinks that the first shades it because of the famous chest-bursting scene. This series has gone on to make video games and comics.

3. Terminator 2
How many people were quoting the film for lines such as Hasta la vista, baby after it came out? Quite a few people around my way were. It is good film and also directed by James Cameron. You have action, you have plot and emotional development and you also feel for the characters. One of the Govenators best roles.

4. Evil Dead 2
I like horror films. I like comedy films. To tell you the truth, I like all kinds of films as long as they are good. But Horror is my fave genre. Evil Dead 2 mixes horror and comedy wonderfully. When I first saw the film, I didnt know whether the next scene would frighten me or make me laugh. I was pretty young at the time.

5. John Carpenters The Thing
This is a remake that came out in the 80s. The original one was called The thing from outer space (not sure, but I am sure someone can look it up for me). Anyway, the film is famous because of the special effects of its time. It is a good film about a bunch of trapped scientists/researchers or what not in the artic isolated from civilization being terrorized by an alien being that can take over any host organism. The good thing about it, when you first see it, is you do not know who the alien is and who isnt.

Well, those are a random 5 of a few of my fave flicks. It was pretty much the ones that I thought of. I could mention Event Horizon or Lord of the Rings, but I kinda hate writing :P

If you have not seen any of the films Ive mentioned, you guys should get them on DVD or rental to check them out.
